“WANDERLUST : A strong desire or urge to travel & explore the world.”

Marissa (Missy) Friess RMT/RYT believes that the world is too big to stay in one place and life is too short to do just one thing. Missy’s love of travelling, learning and creating memories has manifested into her dream job.

Wandering Wellness & Harmony is an always evolving business that started in 2016 as a travelling wellness service. This mobile business gave Missy the flexibility and freedom to offer many different holistic healing services. She would teach yoga in schools, host private yoga classes, coordinate wellness retreats, offer in-home massage services, present for corporate events, travel to nursing homes/hospitals, volunteer to raise funds for an outdoor yoga platform, attend yoga festivals, and plan destination yoga retreats.

In 2020, when travel slowed down she decided to plant some roots and open a commercial business space. A place to call a healing sanctuary home for her clients to come to her.

Once Missy found out she was pregnant in 2023, she decided to close that business and start to slow down. While growing a baby she continued to learn, massage and teach yoga at OM Yoga Studio until her maternity leave in 2024.

Most recently, she continued her education with a 30HR Prenatal & 20HR Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training. She looks forward to teaching perinatal yoga classes in her community and helping other mammas.

Missy became a mother to her beautiful son, Wilder James Friess on April 1st, 2024. While on maternity leave she applied for a Metis Woman Entrepreneur Grant with the Clarence Campeau Development Funding (CCDF). With that she was able to rebuild her clinical practice and fully renovate a new office in Estevan, SK.

Missy returned to her massage therapy practice at the new office in January 2025, and has been thriving as a small business. With being a busy Mom, she decided to sublease the office to another practitioner, Jim Ludwig RMT/MFR with Naturally Chill Therapy & Wellness. Renting the office has given her more financial freedom and flexibility to be a present mother.

Missy is presently working casual hours at the new clinic and continues to teach yoga classes at OM Yoga Studio in Estevan. She is currently enrolled in an online Children’s Yoga Teacher training, and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with the next generation. She intends to get back to travelling to offer wellness retreats, perinatal classes, yoga workshops and teaching overseas at all-inclusive resorts.

“The road to Wellness is a journey, not a DESTINATION.”
